FOX host chucks hissy fit - ex Mexico pres likens Trump to Castro (behind the wall files)

The US just doesn't get it. Here we have the so called US "free press" (albeit FOX) censoring the ex president of Mexico who likened Trump to Castro. Well people are likening him to the rise of Hitler's fascism, why not Castro?

The interviewer actually asked this guy to "take it back", like it was a terrible "beyond the pail" thing to say. Absolutely childish and unprofessional, but it does show the propaganda influence Trump has over society over there.

The ex president doubled down and insisted that Trump was like Castro, prompting the FOX host to cut him off and give a little editorial opinion about Trump at the end.

Yes folks, this is the view behind the wall.... She has US propaganda, he has actual experience.

Trump's theocratic US - courtesy Jim Bakker and his buckets :s

The strangeness coming from inside the US wall continues.....

As is known, Jim Bakker his reinvented himself after getting out of jail over fraud, and is now selling tribulation buckets of some kind of assorted vomit looking stuff. This super-cut of his show shows him almost worshiping Trump (the pussy grabber sexual assault person) as Trump wins the election.

How can fundie christians consider that Trump is such a god/saviour of their country? The only parallel I can draw is the churches under Hitler who worshiped him as being the saviour of their country.

Yes, some christian faiths under the Nazi's thought Hitler was just wonderful. Turned a blind eye to his human rights abuses. As long as those evil minorities were put in their place sort of thing.....

China warns Australia not to side with Trump's US against China

Just stay behind your walls Trump.....

As the US turns in on itself in some kind of theological self immolation to protest against 30yrs of trickle down Reaganomics, China is seizing the opportunity to advance it's own interests. Indeed, China seems a much more friendly place than Trump's US at the moment.

Obama's TPP was his effort by the US to export it's corporate social failure into the Pacific and has gained much condemnation from the populations around the Pacific rim that were involved in the deal. With Trump throwing it out it leaves China to pursue other more local deals with it's Pacific neighbours outside the US, of which it's rhetoric currently suggests.

Life will go on it appears outside of Trump's political wall of hate and xenophobia. However the early signs from China to Australia are to not side with a US theocracy over China, and that such a siding would go beyond the ties built up with simply trading.

Such is the new world that Trump is creating. A selfish, stupid and paranoid US living behind walls, while the rest of the world looks on bewildered and turns away. We don't get the hatred and fascism now pervading the US.

We don't get why they would want more corporate trickle down under a corporate bully. Our values don't include sexual assault of women and minorities being declared evil enemies. Australia has it's problems yes, but we espouse to address them and rise above such bassist human hatred and fear. Watching angry white privileged Americans on You Tube alleging discrimination from Black people is absurd and beyond any level of reason. The US has gone nuts with anger and hate.

Who on earth would want to be a part of that? David and I are personally very thankful that by the chance of birth we don't have to be a part of it. We're not Americans, and very very thankful that we're not. So much for the ideological "American Exceptionalism".

With the US imploding under Trump, Australia will have no choice but to seek opportunities elsewhere.
In the event that Trumps' America should take any hard line against China, Australia was issued a pre-emptive warning not to take sides with Washington against Beijing.

"Co-operation between China and Australia has reached a critical juncture," we were told.

"We hope the US factor will be properly handled," one delegate said.

The fate of the 12-nation US-led trade deal TPP, dumped by Trump as a first priority, was a lesson that "the US has only its own interests in mind." Another delegate said:

"US-China disputes should not automatically become China-Australia differences.

"You need to accommodate China's interests while developing your US ties."

And a third delegate, even more explicitly: "Economic ties alone cannot support the bilateral relationship." Strategic and military tensions could "threaten the whole relationship".

Despite the bluster, there was a striking accord between the two nations' delegates.
Both sides repeatedly declared that while the US and Europe are abandoning the free trade and investment agendas, China and Australia are not. And that, together, the two countries can become a global exemplar. Sydney Morning Herald

67% of Great Barrier Reef dead north of Port Douglas - Scientist survey

Pauline Hanson declared Reef is fine after visiting healthy part of it

Because of global warming and increasing sea temperatures, a significant bleaching event took place on the Great Barrier Reef some months ago. Upon surveying the damage, scientists have discovered that an average of 67% of the Reef north of Port Douglas is now dead.

This in direct contrast to Pauline Hanson's One Nation party, who the other day had a photo op on the Reef in a healthy part of it, declaring that the Reef was fine and it was us evil leftie greenies to blame for a big drop off in Reef tourism  going out of Cairns.
Australian researchers who have been surveying the damage at the Great Barrier Reef from an unprecedented coral bleaching event earlier this year released a new map Monday, showing a large zone of intense coral death as well as several regions that, hearteningly, escaped largely unscathed.

The results confirm an overall picture suggesting that the northern part of the reef, which scientists say was once its most “pristine,” has seen devastating losses. This is a region extending some 700 kilometers (435 miles) northward from Port Douglas, the researchers say, and comprises about 30 percent of the reef overall (it is 2,300 kilometers, or 1,429 miles long, in its entirety). And the researchers say it saw an average coral mortality of 67 percent (the range was actually 47 to 83 percent at disparate reefs that comprise the larger northern section of the Great Barrier Reef). Trumps crazy christians thank him for saving the US - by "speaking in tongues"

Pastor John Kilpatrick thanks God for defeating Hillary Clinton

Nazi christian propaganda
WTF?

If you were in any doubt about how nuts Trump followers are, this will leave you convinced that they're not only nuts, but deeply nuts.

You see this congregation has associated god with Trump, for re-establishing their freedom, whatever the fuck that is. Apparently in the most crazy christian land on earth they were being "persecuted" by not being able to use their religion to discrimi8nate against minorities? Particularly the LGBT? It appears now that with Trump they feel they have a new licence to hate, as christian maniacs are very good at that you know. To say what they like about us, to discriminate against us willy nilly.

I say "us" because the LGBT are an international community without borders. Perhaps Australia should offer them asylum from religious fascism? But alas with our present gov they'd probably end up on Nauru, especially if they're brown :s

But I digress.

Catholic priests WW2

Seriously now, this shit is fuckin scary. The Nazi's thought they were christians, went to church and all, and surely we can't forget how the Catholic church was so supportive of them. They gave the Nazi salute as well.

Now we have a church in the US preaching that god's prescience in the church is because Trump is now the leader. What's more we have nationalism aplenty. I don't understand why there would be a US flag in a church unless it was to do with US exceptionalism; the ultimate arrogance against the world and anyone not US. It's been bad enough over the decades as it is, but to add god to the exceptionalism and to praise Trump for it?

Add to that Trump continues appointments of far right nut jobs, and the equation is complete. There are all the ingredients of a fascist regime.

LGBT rage at Lieberal denigration of us - 2016 ends with death of 13yr old gay

Tyrone laid to rest
Update: Sign petition from a mother of two boys who went to primary school with Tyrone in support of Safe Schools.

We never asked for our lives to be politicised, used by politicians to advance their careers. Never asked for the hatred to be spewed from the Canberra Lieberal party this year as an excuse to vote on whether we should be equal or not. Not for the venom in particular that came from the anti-Safe Schools lobbyists. We never asked for a plebiscite. For the most vile and extremist christian views to be espoused publicly by politicians supposed to be leading the country.

Tyrone Unsworth never asked for it either. The year ends with a young LGBT killing themselves. Hate has it's price, especially for the young and vulnerable. Imagine if the plebiscite was still going forward...

We deserve more than this from our politicians, so caught up in their own political and religious brainwashing that they see us as pawns in the big game, not people. The sight of Brandis in parliament when the plebiscite was defeated, blaming us for politicising marriage equality, was truly one of the sickest moments I've ever witnessed come out of the place.

Again; Christensen, Bernadi, Australian Christian Lobby, and the rest, are you happy now?
Politicians, the media and anti-LGBTI campaigners spent the final year of Tyrone’s life saying that gay people should be grateful to have our rights put to a popular vote.

Had it not been for an exhausting, emotionally laborious and ultimately successful community campaign, Australia would soon be forced to a national plebiscite on the worthiness of LGBTIQ people’s relationships.

Why should parents offer unwavering acceptance when their child comes out, when the government was about to hold a $200 million national vote on whether to accept LGBTIQ people as equal? How could a kid not feel scared and self-loathsome when the identity they’re discovering is considered so controversial that the Coalition can’t legislate for our right to marry for fear of losing government?

How can an LGBTIQ teenager feel safe in this country when someone like Lyle Shelton from the fringe group the Australian Christian Lobby is repeatedly given primetime TV slots, even though the views he holds represent a tiny minority of Australia?

Politicians, the media and anti-LGBTI campaigners spent the final year of Tyrone’s life distributing homophobic leaflets, likening us to Nazis, threatening to quit their job as an MP unless marriage discrimination was upheld, making jokes about “tr*nnies” on morning TV, depicting our existence as a rainbow noose, trying to give $7.5 million taxpayer dollars to hate groups, using parliamentary privilege to vilify us, posing for a photo at Mardi Gras two days before overhauling a program designed to help school kids who were being bullied for their sexuality. Hillary campaign to participate in recounts

Jill Stein, Greens candidate
Hillary Clinton has announced her campaign will be participating with Green candidate Jill Stein in recounts in likely three states where the vote was every close. This after experts have questioned some of the discrepancies coming out of the results, particularly in Wisconsin.

We've had the odd election here in Australia where the popular vote was more for the losing party. There was the Howard/Beazely one, and also the Abbott/Gillard election the first time around where Gillard ended up forming a majority gov. However to get a record breaking number of people voting for Hillary more than Trump in the popular vote, and still lose, does seem very strange.

Why do they use those machines anyway? It does take longer with paper ballots but that's the most secure way to conduct an election.

Beyond the post-election audit, Green Party candidate Jill Stein announced Friday that she will exercise her right as a candidate to pursue a recount in the state of Wisconsin. She has indicated plans to also seek recounts in Pennsylvania and Michigan.

Because we had not uncovered any actionable evidence of hacking or outside attempts to alter the voting technology, we had not planned to exercise this option ourselves, but now that a recount has been initiated in Wisconsin, we intend to participate in order to ensure the process proceeds in a manner that is fair to all sides. If Jill Stein follows through as she has promised and pursues recounts in Pennsylvania and Michigan, we will take the same approach in those states as well. We do so fully aware that the number of votes separating Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton in the closest of these states — Michigan — well exceeds the largest margin ever overcome in a recount. But regardless of the potential to change the outcome in any of the states, we feel it is important, on principle, to ensure our campaign is legally represented in any court proceedings and represented on the ground in order to monitor the recount process itself. "Rampant political correctness" = sanctimony, bullying, abuse - Abbott

Abbott has stuck his festering little head up again in a discussion with Andrew Bolt. In talking about the Trump victory they use the opportunity to put the boot in to people like me daring to speak up and call out racist, sexist, homophobic, Islamophobic behaviour. Apparently in Abbott's world this is tantamount to oppressive and sanctimonious bullying and abuse of people behaving in such a way.

Oh the poor precious dear. How dare we want equality! How dare we accuse people of being homophobic when they're against equality! Oh the humanity!

This is from a man who feels "a bit threatened" by gays. Yes, big strong highly educated toughy ex PM is threatened by us. This from the far right of the Lieberals who want to change 18c of the racial discrimination act, but says they're being bullied by political correctness if someone calls them racist, sexist, homophobic, Islamophobic. Complete hypocrisy.
Andrew Bolt: “I’m laughing at the rage. Doesn’t the rage expose exactly what a lot of people were against? The sanctimony, the bullying, the abuse…

Tony Abbott: “Yes, Andrew. This is, if you like, the revenge of the deplorables. All of the people who are sick of being called racist, sexist, homophobic, Islamophobic because they don’t comply with the cannons of political correctness. All of those people saw Donald Trump as – in some way – their champion. Whether they agreed with everything he said or not, they thought he was least someone who was standing up for a measure of common sense, against the rampant political correctness that has held sway through much of the western world for too long.”

Abbott was the Prime Minister of Australia. A man who has spent his life and career in positions of privilege and power. And he can, in all sincerity, rally not for the people who suffer because of racism, sexism, homophobia or Islamophobia, but for people like him who feel stifled by the expectation not to be sexist or racist or homophobic. He can, in all sincerity, speak on a television program broadcast around the country, as if his ability to speak out is under threat. As if he and the host Andrew Bolt are at risk of being silenced or marginalised. As if they are the victims of sanctimony, bullying and abuse. Women's Agenda
The very definition of homophobia finds itself expression by the behaviour of the far right Lieberals, who are currently holding Turnbull over a barrel to stop marriage equality. To go out of one's way as they all have, to launch court action as they did in Canberra to have gay marriages annulled, to redefine marriage as Howard did in 2004 specifically to exclude gays, is surely homophobic behaviour.
Definition of homophobia
: irrational fear of, aversion to, or discrimination against homosexuality or homosexuals websters
Yet getting called out on it is all a bit too much for them apparently.

Australian student suicides over bullying about being gay

Tyrone Unsworth died at 13
I would have to say to George Christensen and Cory Bernadi, are you happy now?

After kicking up an unholy christian stink about the Safe Schools program, having it gutted and the funding pulled for the future, a Queensland high school student has been so bullied about being gay that he's suicided over it.

What message was he getting from the gov? That the Safe Schools program designed to help the LGBT through school at a difficult time in their lives, was some kind of Marxist propaganda and social engineering. That the program would be defunded into the future. That there was nobody that he could talk to at school about being gay and dealing with the hate.
Amanda revealed her little boy had such big ambitions for life, with a dream to be a vet and save animals or a fashion designer.

She said she would remember fondly his bright blue eyes, deep dimples, cheeky little smile, and the way they would shop together with Tyrone telling her what she should wear.

While Tyrone was a happy, cheeky boy on the outside, he did suffer horribly on the inside.

Amanda said her son’s favourite saying used to be “sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me”.

“Obviously they ended up getting him,” she said. kidspot

The most lovely cat pics of Natasha - our 14 year old matriarch :)

Natasha goes to the cat telly and looks at things to hunt *click to enlarge, as well as the other photos*
Nothing like some cat pictures to calm one down in the midst of the Nazi takeover of the US. It's all very distressing you know, having the so called "leader of the free world" have the president elect appointing a white supremacist to his soon to be cabinet, backing it up with the nutters from the lunar right of so called christianity (the Nazi's thought they were christians too BTW and attended church services). Who would have thought that the US, so called "land of the free, home of the brave" would end up turning to fascism? Go figure....

So anyway Natasha, our 14 year old female cat, matriarch of the house, was at the back door just before. As cats think they own us I'm sure she considers that all us boys in the house are something like her harem. Zac (our other boy cat 2 years old now) for example she adopted as her boy and taught him much. David and I too I'm sure she considers us both to be part of her male harem. We would never get a female cat as they'd just never get on; Natasha wouldn't accept her.

She's done a wonderful job with Zac/"grasshopper", teaching him the ways of cat battle and cat affection as a mother. Zac loves licking and cleaning her, and she repays the favour back to him. Zac came to us as a kitten after his mother died, and Natasha mothered him like the mother he lost. They both love each other deeply now. At 14 she's a very wise old cat.

I went to a different angle and caught her contentedness looking at everything
She turns and looks at me taking her picture, the love in her eyes and intensity astonishing

US Electoral College elector says gays should be hanged - Montana

It doesn't get any more vile than this folks. Meet Dennis Scranton (the old bloke in the middle above) who is one of the electors in Montana getting ready to caste his vote for Trump. He was involved in a Facebook conversation a few years ago where he said gays should be hung. He hasn't backed down on that since then, despite asserting that he was bought up with "good morals"

Which is bad enough, but he said it in the most repulsive way imaginable, using reference to Matthew  Shepard who was infamously beaten and left to die in Wyoming because he was gay, at the time shocking the nation. He died a few days later in hospital from horrific injuries sustained in the beating.
Ravndal was commenting on a Billings Gazette article concerning an American Civil Liberties Union lawsuit about same-sex couples. In the post, Ravendal wrote “marriage between a man and a woman period!”

Scranton responded to the Tea Party leader’s remark, saying, “I think fruits are decorative. Hang up where they can be seen and appreciated. Call Wyoming for display instructions.” The Wyoming mention was an apparent reference to Matthew Shepard, a gay university student who was beaten, bound to a fence post and left for dead outside Laramie in 1998. Shepard died six days later. Missoulian

US "Alt-right" are neo Nazi scum - (very) Angry Aussie

Angry says the so called "Alt-right" are nothing more than neo Nazis, and to not call them that is to lie and be an apologist for them. He also says that to not speak up about it is to be a collaborator and part of the problem.

I can't believe Trump's got that nutter from Breitbart, the white supremacist site that people have know about for years. Yes it's well known and mentioned by a lot of US gay blogs and has been so for years. My chin nearly dropped to the floor when Steve Bannon was to end up in the white house FFS.

"Hail/Heil Trump" - white supremacists celebrate Trump's victory - Rachael Maddow

White supremacists give Nazi salute in honour of Trump
Welcome to Trump's US, where white supremacists celebrate the president elect and become part of mainstream media reporting. Where the president elect utters trite platitudes but doesn't do anything to condemn the hate. Where the supremacists believe that Trump is their new leader, and give a Nazi salute in honour to him.

African states fail to block UN world LGBT rights investigator

Africa must be just about the most homophobic continent on earth. Recently the United Nations set up a new position, appointing Vitit Muntarbhorn of Thailand to spend three years investigating abuses of LGBT human rights around the world. But the homophobic African states went into much aghastness and proceeded to have a hissy fit about it all, calling for the position to be abolished as according to them abuses against LGBT shouldn't be linked to human rights abuses. I kid you not.

It's taken a full meeting by the whole UN general assembly that deals with human rights to sort it all out, with the African states proposal going down in flames 84/77 as the general assembly adopted some ammendment which fucked over the African proposal big time.

I must point out again that the reason why African states are so homophobic is because of fundamentalist christian missionaries from the US going over there and stirring up huge hatred against us.

I might also say that the African states can see the writing on the wall and will be called out by the UN in future over it's abuses of LGBT human rights within those states.
The 47-member UN Human Rights Council, based in Geneva, created the position in June and in September appointed Vitit Muntarbhorn of Thailand, who has a three-year mandate to investigate abuses against lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) people.

In an unusual move, African states put forward a draft resolution in the 193-member UN general assembly third committee, which deals with human rights, calling for consultations on the legality of the creation of the mandate. They said the work of the investigator should be suspended.

However, western countries successfully proposed an amendment that gutted the African group draft resolution. The amendment was adopted in the third committee on Monday with 84 votes in favor, 77 against and 17 abstentions.

The amended draft resolution, which makes no change to the work of the gay rights investigator, was then adopted by the third committee with 94 votes in favor, three against and 80 abstentions.

Russia and Egypt, speaking on behalf of the 57-member Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, said they would not recognize the mandate of the gay rights investigator and would not cooperate with Muntarbhorn. Britain urged all countries to cooperate with the investigator.

Being gay is a crime in at least 73 countries, the UN has said. The issue of gay rights consistently sparks heated debate at the United Nations. The Guardian

Turnbull loans NBN another $20billion - lemon files

As technology continually moves forward, so the National Broadband Network continually fails. It was all supposed to be finished by this year, but most Australians haven't seen anything of it. Now the Turnbull gov has had to loan the NBN another $20billion to carry on it's rollout. On top of the $30billion they've already loaned it.

So what are taxpayers getting for their $50billion? Which isn't even being counted in the budget BTW as it's a loan. We're getting copper. A dogs breakfast of fibre optics connected to copper. Turnbull's even had to buy copper for it because the old phone system is so deteriorated in some areas it's not possible to use it for that. It all costs money to fix, something that wouldn't be so with fibre all the way to the home.

However the biggest problem, and I said this a while ago, is the old technology being used to set it all up. Not only the costs now of doing so, but the costs in the future of fixing it. And it will have to be fixed at some point. There's things like quantum computing on the horizon, and already last year even there was 2Gbps internet speeds being set up in the US (albeit very expensive). The gov is basically installing a 1995 version of dialup, only it's the 2016 version, if that makes sense. It'll be obselete by the time they finish the rollout.

Talk about lumbering future generations with debt. How much is it going to cost to replace the copper with fibre in the long run?
PricewaterhouseCoopers has estimated that the network will be worth just $27 billion in 2024-5, approximately half the price of its construction.

The new $20 billion loan is an unanticipated commitment from the government. Malcolm Turnbull had previously indicated that the organisation would be able to operate “without assistance from government” with only the initial funding.

It’s more money than the $14 billion the government hopes to save over the coming four years with planned policy changes.

Labor communications spokeswoman Michelle Rowland told SBS the biggest threat to the NBN is "its limitations which have been imposed as a result of technology", specifically the reliance on the existing copper network. SBS

Message from a Bi Latino responding to Trump's win - The Wolfe's Den (Video)

Here we have the first intro video in a series by a Latino bisexual woman in the US, in response to the Trump win for president.

You know I'm so angry with dumbfuckistan US that voted in Trump I very nearly just purged myself from even following the politics over there any more. Strange thing to do for someone who lives in Australia being such a close ally. But after the plebiscite debate here and now what minorities are facing in the US it just seemed all too outrageous and depressing to even bother.

However the US is a very big country, and there's people popping up all over the place reacting to the Trump win. In this video we go back to the thing that always works; it's been shown over and over that personal experiences told by the LGBT are a powerful story to change people's minds in favour of us. In such cases once their minds are changed they never go back.

Good on you darl, count me as a new follower. I'll post your Vlogs from down under in support. I have a lot of US people reading :)

BTW we still don't have marriage equality in Australia because the conservative gov can't bring itself to give the party a free conscience vote in our parliament. We have the majority if they did so.

Australians want marriage equality dealt with now - Andrew Wilkie

Independent senator Andrew Wilke has made a short speech in favour of bringing the current marriage equality cross party bill forward and dealing with the issue now once and for all. He makes the point that it would be better to do so for the Lieberals instead of spending 2 years pressing them on the subject. Politically it makes huge sense for Turnbull just to allow a free vote.

We aren't going away. The gov may think it's pushed the marriage equality issue further into the future, using the argument that it was the plebiscite or nothing (their way or no way) and so now the parliament is supposed to be bound by some invisible rule that says that because the plebiscite is dead there is no other way to deal with the issue until after a new gov is formed.

Pathetic. The elephant in the room is of course Malcolm Turnbull. We could have marriage equality in a matter of days if he grew a spine. This is about the Lieberal party, not about David and I. History will not remember them well for being so inept as to not be able to deal with such a simple human rights issue as this. All it would take is a change to the marriage act that Howard changed in 2004 to explicitly exclude same sex couples.

Triumphant Trump-et loses it over late coffee at Starbucks

This is what white people in the US are having a meltdown over Starbucks coffee shops, "protesting" so called "white discrimination" at the outlets. The small mindedness of this is bizarre. The guy who accused the staff member of discrimination later told the media he had mental illness and was off his meds.

I'd just like to insert here that as someone who suffers from mental illness myself (severe depression, PTSD, anxiety/panic attacks) the absolute last thing I would  do is to be so arrogant as to think I didn't need to take my meds and went off them. However it does appear arrogance is a big part of being a Trump-et, at least in my online experience.

It's also extremely unfair on everyone around you to have them have to deal with your mental illness because you can't be bothered dealing with it yourself. The poor lady staff member who had to cop such vile abuse was the unfortunate one on this occasion.

There's a short news report first, then watch as the Young Turks dissect and analyse this new Trump-et phenomenon sweeping the US. Honestly it's like half of the population has been infected by some brain virus that makes them aggressive, arrogant and stupid.

Online Trump-ets are angry, arrogant, screaming assholes - me

Well Trump-ets, David and I have had enough of you lot. Our online experience of the ignorant fascist bullshit coming out of the US now via you is appalling, only you lot are just too stupid to even vaguely realise any such thing.

You're going hysterical about a coffee shop supposedly discriminating against whites FFS. You get online and preach US arrogance to the rest of the world; like we're actually going to listen to your delusions. Like by pissing us off with your dumbfuckistan idiocy we're all going to follow you like you're the pied piper.

You're in for a shock dumfuckistan.

Us sane people, you know those ones on the planet who aren't so stupid as to fall for old fashioned fascism like it's suddenly the new thing on the block, are watching you from afar with a mixture of uncontrollable laughter at how dumb you Trump-ets are, and abject horror that your Trump is a rank amateur. Needless to say none of us consider him capable of leading the free world. He's an incompetent baboon who will destroy your country and what's left of it's reputation in the world.

Yes, David and I are still blocking. The Trump phenomenon makes us both sick to the core. Personally my own father fought in WW2, I can't now believe you America have fallen for the fascism trap. The racist, hating, nationalistic trap that makes "American Exceptionalism" look like a kindergarten playground. You've fucked yourselves royally.

Don't expect us to follow you the Trump-ets blindly to oblivion. Don't expect us to care what you think or in any way take you as people seriously capable of intelligence. When I look at the regular US blogs I read it's just one post after another of bad bad bad bad.... It's almost too depressing to even look at the headings, let alone the story.

Oh yes, I'm sure if any Trump-ets read this they'd likely tell me something like "get fucked then we don't need you". Well unfortunately you do. We have been the closest of allies over many decades, and all the soft power that has led from that. You need Pine Gap to triangulate and target your drones and bombs.

The ultimate absurdity is that now Trump wants to charge us for that.... Oh just fuck off.....

Christian same sex marriage supporters attack the ACL as being not christian

I will have to thank YouTube recommendations for this one.

The video is a little report from the Anglican church in Western Australia, that says that same sex christians are fine, and that the Australian Christian Lobby's continual attacks on same sex couples isn't the true understanding of what christianity is all about.

*faints*

Well it's about bloody time! Sick to death of the only voice of christianiy being screamed at us all by the Australian Christian Lobby. They're not representative of the vastly broader church of christians that exist in Australia.

4 years together David and I :)

Tomorrow it will be 4 years since David and I met at the Oxford Hotel in Darlinghurst (ironic as that hotel is now the one that changed hands and had the homophobic thug bouncer). The picture above is a few months after we met at the old Oxford, behind is the balcony and the spot where we ran in to each other.

The photo was taken by a professional photographer who was in the pub at the time and saw us kissing, came over and asked to take our picture. It ended up on the pub wall in the gaming room for a while, the staff gave it to us eventually with that being the first time we saw it. It was like "OMG! That's us!"

Funny as some of the pub clientele were taking guesses on how long we'd last, probably 6 months or so. I guess they didn't realise how strongly we felt for each other. Here we are 4 years later and still as deeply in love as we've ever been.

Of course we've had ups and downs. Everyone does. Life has dealt some very solid blows here and there along the way, but if anything it's pushed us closer not apart. Life is life and we share it together, whatever it brings.
This is my pledge dearest one, I will stand by you....And no matter whether the wine be bitter or sweet we will share it together and find happiness in the comradeship.

Gays caused NZ earthquake - NZ preacher

Cows stranded by NZ earthquake, were saved by a track being dug to get out
More love from the christians, albeit on this occasion the preacher is loudly called out by all.

This Destiny Church leader Brian Tamaki, the church being another Pentecostal abomination, has blamed the recent 7.8 magnitude earthquake in New Zealand on the gays, and gay marriage being made legal over there.

Now I know there are some actual lunatics within fundamentalist christianity who would likely even use this as a legitimate argument against gay marriage. Like, don't let the gays marry because then we'll have big earthquakes. I vaguelly expect that to possibly be the thoughts of one or two of the Australian Christian Lobby in Australia.

However New Zealander's are just appalled at this loopy man and have roundly condemned him over it by all, including the prime minister John Key. Especially as the earthquake has only just happened and two people died in it, with lots of people still struggling in the aftermath. There were a few cows to that died, with cow island above having three lucky ones.

"It spews itself up after a while - that's natural disasters. Because nature was never created to carry the bondage of our iniquity," Tamaki said.

Matheson said Leviticus was probably the most misinterpreted piece of scripture of all time.

"It's often cherry-picked by fundamentalist religious people to try and explain why bad things happen in the world.

"It's disturbing and it's dangerous and Bishop Tamaki should stop doing it. In a world where we have permission being given for the most extraordinary discrimination ... To blame a small sector of our society for something as awful as what's happening in New Zealand now is reprehensible."

Tamaki's comments have also been labelled "ridiculous" by John Key, while the mayor of Kaikoura called them "pathetic".

Prime Minister Key said this afternoon that Tamaki's comments were "ridiculous".

"I mean, give me a break," Key told Radiolive.

"Look, you always get people coming out with these stupid statements.

"The facts of life are New Zealand is a seismically prone country, with a number of very well identified fault lines.

"We've been a bit unlucky I think, clearly those plates are moving around a bit.

"It's nothing to do with people's sexuality. I mean, it's just madness."

The mayor of earthquake-ravaged Kaikoura also weighed in, saying comments by Tamaki were "pathetic".

Winston Gray said the comments were ridiculous "in a situation like this".

The mayor said people in the area were still struggling, after Monday morning's massive 7.5 earthquake cut off the town's power, communications, water and transport.

"What pathetic comments," he said. NewstalkZB
